Missions

Ransom is the mission and outreach program at Willows. Using numerous strategic partnerships, the active members of Ransom seek to proclaim and embody the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that all people can experience the spiritual and material abundance God wants to pour into our lives. Through volunteer efforts, financial support and intercessory prayer, we hope to serve as salt and light in a hurting and broken land.

Living Beyond Myself

A continuous and radical mind-shift is needed in churches today, from me-focused to others-focused – a shift from selfish preoccupations to selfless pursuits. As the value of serving is refreshed in people's hearts and spirits, one person at a time, one congregation at a time, such a transformation will occur. Is there anything that quickens the pulse more intensely and impacts the soul more profoundly than being used by God for eternal impact?

Catering Services

To ensure that our calendar events at the church are successful, we have a team of individuals that helps cater quality meals and performs all the support activities that are necessary to have a hassle-free time together. This catering support often involves table setting, décor, flowers, equipment requirements, serving, clearing as well as the necessary washing and tidying up after all the fun is over.

Trust and Property

We are blessed with our facilities and beautiful gardens at Willows. The church property serves many purposes, both for the church and the public at large. With its on-going use, we require on-going maintenance and repair as you would with any building or home. This would include maintenance and/or repair on our furniture, air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical, roofing, locks, flooring, renovations and any ad hoc assistance with the building and facilities

Event Coordination

As a community church, our ministries reach out to our members, visitors and the community at large, touching lives with God’s message of love, forgiveness and salvation through Jesus. Events are regularly held at the church to support the church’s vision and ministries. These events require the support of a team of organisers to ensure an enjoyable time for each person involved.

Event coordination involves the complete function organisation from scheduling, advertising, attendance, catering, set up, any supporting collateral, activities and clearing up and requires a high level of attention to detail and good organisational skills.

Worship & Creative Arts

At Willows, we believe that everything we do is an act of worship.

At the heart of our Worship and Creative Arts Ministry are the two commandments that Jesus gave to sum up the Ten Commandments, namely, to love God with all our heart, soul and mind and to love our neighbour as ourselves. Our foremost consideration is to give pleasure and glory to the One who is the object of our worship.

We believe worship as God’s enjoyment of us and our enjoyment of Him. For generations a veil separated God from His people in the temple, but through the cross, Jesus tore the veil in two and invites us into the Holy of Holies where we are able to encounter the living God. The role of our Creative Arts Team is to lead the congregation into this place.

Local Preaching

"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15

Local preaching is a specific, God-given calling on a person’s life. This ministry offers the opportunity for anyone who feels called by God to preach His Word in a service of worship.

There are specific requirements that need to be met for someone to be eligible to do so, which can be obtained from the Pastor.
